About

Articles of Confederation

Dear GHS Graduate:

As a group of concerned GHS alumni, we organized the Greenfield High School Alumni Association in 2001.We want to be advocates for the community of Greenfield through our common goal of providing the best possible public education.  The professionals of our educational system are under tremendous pressure to do more with less each year.  Our association members share the vision of supporting these dedicated educational professionals in three chosen areas:  1. technology; 2.  academics; and 3.  athletics.

The Alumni Association has already donated funds to buy cameras for the GHS News course taught by Tom Bevacqua, weight training equipment for the room supervised by Coach Mike Kuchieski, Metal Fabrication Equipment for the new Vocational/Technical program taught by Mark Leonard,  books for the English and Science Departments, books and furniture for the Library, supplies for the Art Department, Solar Energy Course information and ten Scientific Calculators for the Science Department which helped at least one student to win at the local level Science Fair and go on to the Regional Science Fair. 2 Smartboards, 2 LTD projectors, 1 Computer and 6 NoteBook Computers were provided by various class reunions or individuals.  Money was provided by the Class of 1945 to be used for advertising on the radios and in the newspaper. We provided cash along with labor for the new scoreboard for Veterans Memorial Field Softball Diamond for which the Dillon’s also donated $3500 and the Class of 2005 donated $5,000 as their Class Gift toward this project.  We contributed to the  Athletic Department for the purchase of tape, ice packs and uniforms.  In 2006 or total donations were $23,100 and in 2007 we received $10,100 to be used for various projects.  In 2008 the Class of 2008 and two class reunions has contributed $3,100 to the GHSAA.  We will continue to support projects at the school.

All local residents have supported the Greenfield School System by paying taxes but if you are a GHS graduate, please consider joining the GHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION and including a special donation to fund the Memorial Sports Complex.  If you have family outside the area, please pass this information on to them.  Any and all levels of donation are welcome.  We are a 501C organization and your donations will be tax deductible.  Letters of support for the Memorial Sports Complex would be most appreciated.  You can give your donation to a specific item; just mark what you want it to go to on your check.  All donations are tax exempt (see our number at the top of this page).
