Memberships Needed
The only way we can continue to contribute to the well-being of GHS is
by converting your membership dues into goods and services. Although it would be great to have people who
live in the area, to work with the Alumni Committee when needed, it is the
membership funds received from all over the country that keeps us a viable resource to the
students and staff at GHS. If you would
like to join the GHSAA, membership dues are $20 annually from November to
November. Five-Year Membership is $80, Ten-Year Membership is $150 and Lifetime
Membership is $200. The above
memberships are discounted 50% for senior citizens (60+) and graduates
attending schools of high learning. Call

beginning. Since he plans to retire in
the near future, he requested that someone else take it over. Pat Garland came
forward. If you are a graduate or know a
graduate who has been out of high school ten or more years and who would like
to be part of this program, pick up an application form from Betty at the high
school office or call her at

Note:
Welcome to 2009. As
this historic year begins and we start the second semester of the school year,
there are many new opportunities for our students. The Town Council has appropriated additional
funds for the high school so that we can increase our elective offerings. For the second semester, new courses will
offer are 21st Century Internet Politics, Psychology, Financial
Planning, Science Fiction Literature, Digital Photography, Woodworking, and
Manufacturing. We are also starting
seminar classes that will be held a couple times a week in Film Studies, Mime,
Hip-Hop, and textile Art. As we continue
to bring change to the high school, I remind you that I would welcome your
suggestions for the improvement of the school.
